Benny

   Benny and his friends

One day Benny was walking along swinging his hat on his paw humming a song and it went like this

“Now I’m a fine bunny that is always funny and wherever I go there it is so slow”. Benny said wherever I go there it is so slow an old man rabbit with his walking stick I’d rather go in a car than walk behind old fogies. With that, Benny walked off in a mood. When he got to the shopping mall he saw his friend Thomas doing his shopping. “What are you getting Thomas?” said Benny. “I am getting some carrots for a party tonight, do you fancy coming” said Thomas. Benny said “Yes, I would love to, where is this party then?” Thomas replied “At the Cleveden Club ”. So with that, they went off in different directions.

When Benny got home he looked for some party clothes. He found a green bow tie, a sweatshirt, a waistcoat, black trousers and a pair of black shoes. He hung them up on a coat hanger until it was time to go to the party. Benny sat down and watched TV. When it was time to go Benny put his clothes on and had a shave. Then he combed his hair back and set off down the road. When he got to the party at Cleveden he knocked on the door. Thomas answered it. Thomas invited Benny in and said “Welcome to Thomas’s party please have fun”. When Benny went into the front room he saw his friends, some relatives, Thomas’s mum and dad with his brothers and sisters and some guinea pigs.

Benny had a good time. There were party games. Benny put down his drink and played. Benny won on musical chairs and a memory game. He won a bottle of whisky from the musical chairs and a game boy at the memory game. When the party games finished it was food time. Everyone went rushing to the food table filled with carrots, carrot cakes, carrot gingerbread men and biscuits. Soon it was time for Benny to go. Benny left the Cleveden and as soon as he got in he put on his pyjamas and watched a little bit of television then went to bed.

When the morning came Benny put on his clothes and went to the cinema. Benny saw ‘The Never Ending Carrot’. When it finished Benny went round to Harvey’s house. Benny knocked on the door. Harvey answered and invited Benny in. They talked and had a wonderful time. They decided to go to the club and play snooker. When they finished playing snooker they went up to the bar. They had a few drinks and left. Benny asked Harvey if he would like to stay at his house. Harvey said “Are you sure, where would I sleep, you have no room”. Benny said “Oh yes I do, you can sleep on the blown up bed”. Harvey agreed and went round to Benny’s house. Benny let Harvey wear some of his old pyjamas. Then they went to sleep.

When the morning came Benny’s alarm clock went off. Benny woke up and went downstairs to try and wake Thomas but he couldn’t. Benny went outside in his dressing gown to his shed and got his horn. He went back in side and blew into the horn then…out came the most terrific, the most splendid noise. It woke Thomas up instantly. Benny said “Well that’s what you get when you don’t wake up when I ask you”. Thomas said sleepily “You don’t have to do that to wake me up, you just have to pinch me when I don’t wake up and you didn’t”. “Well I didn’t know” said Thomas sarcastically. “Well I am up now so make me breakfast while I get my clothes on”. “Yes your majesty” said Benny angrily. When Thomas had his clothes on and eaten his breakfast they decided to go for a walk around the town and do some shopping. So they did that.

While Thomas and Benny were in the shop they met their friend Percy. Percy came up to them and said “Wow! I haven’t seen you in years, where are you living now?”

Benny replied “Still in the same place as before, why?” “Oh I just wanted to know because I haven’t seen you in ages. How about you and your friend, whoever he is, come out and have a drink at the royal carrot tonight” said Percy with great enthusiasm. Both Benny and Thomas said together! “Yes we would love to”.

“Righty ho” said Percy and went. Benny and Thomas then did some shopping. When they went back to the house they unpacked the shopping and went to Thomas’s house to get changed. Benny had brought his clothes to Thomas’s so he could get changed there. By the time they got changed and sorted it was time to go and meet Percy at the Royal Carrot. So off they went.

When they arrived there Percy was already sitting down at a table. Benny and Thomas sat down and took a menu. When the waitress came they ordered their food and waited while it cooked. Benny chose roasted carrots, carrot cake and carrot juice. Thomas ordered skinned carrots, roasted bananas and a carrot delight. Percy ordered a carrot Sunday, a carrot dinner and a beer. When the waitress came with the food and drinks they brought some special carrot biscuits for after their lunch. When they finished their lunch they went up to the bar where Percy paid for the dinner and they went to the club to play snooker.

When they had finished they went over to a group of lady rabbits. Thomas had a lady called Sammy, Benny’s girl was called Mandy and Percy’s lady was called Petunia. They went home with their lady rabbits. In the morning Benny found out Mandy was pregnant. One day Mandy was rushed to hostpital as she was about to give birth. When they arrived at the hospital Mandy had twins. Benny looked surprised and inside he felt like he was going to explode. One was a girl and one was a boy. They named the girl Sophie and they named the boy Chris. A couple if months went by and Benny said to Mandy “Will you marry me”. and she said “Yes, I will” - Benny was over the moon. Benny planned the wedding day. When the day arrived they changed and each of them went in a seperate car. When they were married they went on holiday, taking the children with them, and decided to live there and buy a house. They went out and together chose a house beside the beach living happily ever after.
